Is Black Friday the best time to buy a mattress?
Black Friday typically offers the deepest discounts of the year, as companies aim to clear out inventory and make way for new models. While mattresses can be found on sale throughout the year (especially around holidays like Labor Day and Memorial Day), retailers often offer a few extra incentives during Black Friday, typically in the form of free items or additional percentage points off. But with rising manufacturing costs, mattresses have not been immune to price increases, so we wouldn't be surprised if some companies raise their prices into the new year. Likewise, as we near the end of the year, you may be eligible to apply unused FSA or HSA funds on a new mattress to offset the cost.
How long do the mattress sales last?
Many Black Friday mattress sales kick off early during the first week of November and will last just past Cyber Monday, with some brands extending their promos through early December. As we get closer to the actual day of Black Friday, many brands may offer extra discounts (usually another 5% to 10% of additional savings).
